Count the connections, then the power.
Access points, cameras and door controllers can draw different amounts of power. We check each device against the switch port standard and the total power budget, allowing for the additions you have actually planned.
Keep the uplink in the picture.
A fast endpoint does not make the entire network fast. Cabling, switch uplinks, transceivers and the gateway all form part of the path. We identify which connections need more capacity and where existing infrastructure can be retained.
Make the cabinet serviceable.
Rack space, ventilation, patch-lead routing and labels affect future maintenance. We plan these alongside switch selection, so adding a camera or tracing a connection does not start with untangling the cabinet.
